This single malt stands out with its bright gold color, reflecting a depth that also comes through in its flavor profile. On the nose, lightly smoky notes are delicately intertwined with pastry aromas. On the palate, the Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt delivers a smoky and sweet experience, reminiscent of brown sugar, followed by hints of citrus and bitter orange. The finish is smooth and warm, with lingering soft and smoky notes.

Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt pays homage to the influence of Islay peat, renowned for its distinctive character in Scotch whiskies. Unlike mainland peat, Islay peat imparts a softer, sweeter mouthfeel that harmonizes with Yamazaki's maturation methods. Through this limited edition, Yamazaki distillery continues to explore new expressions through a deep mastery of diverse production methods, combining innovation with respect for tradition.

The Yamazaki distillery, a pioneer of Japanese whisky, is synonymous with innovation and craftsmanship. With the Tsukuriwake edition, it continues to push the boundaries of single malt by exploring a diversity of ingredients and processes. The use of Islay peat, combined with Japanese expertise, gives the Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt a distinctive organoleptic complexity, fully embodying Yamazaki's philosophy: blending tradition and modernity to create refined and unprecedented expressions.
