New feature to come in the Nikka range, Taketsuru Pure Malt is a non-aged version of the brand's famous blended malt. Created to honor Masataka Taketsuru, this whisky is now a symbol of Nikka.

Taketsuru Pure Malt is a subtle blend of the finest single malts from Yoichi and Miyagikyo, available in several aged versions which this new one designed to make this whisky more accessible.

Taketsuru Pure Malt is mainly composed of single malts aged at least 10 years in oak barrels and a greater proportion of single malts from Miyagikyo which gives it a rather sweet and fruity flavor profile.

Created as a tribute to Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka, Taketsuru is a blended malt or pure malt which is composed of a blend of single malts from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.


Subtly blended in accordance with the philosophy of the founding father, the four versions 12, 17, 21 and 25 years old are high quality whiskies that have won many awards in international competitions.
