Ume No Yado Mikanshu is a fruit liqueur made from sake and the pulp of Japanese mandarins of the citrus unshiu family specially selected for their juicy and refreshing character.
To produce a 72cl bottle, Ume no Yado uses about a dozen tangerines from which the outer and inner skins, seeds and streaks have been carefully removed, and each orange pulp is carefully blended so as not to be crushed.
To be kept in a cool place and served chilled, this liqueur is a perfect accompaniment to all chocolate-based pastries and creamy desserts that will bring out the sweet fragrance of Japanese mandarins.
Located not far from Nara, the ancient historical capital of the country and the cradle of sake, the brewery was founded in 1893 at the foot of the Katsuragi mountain in a region renowned for the purity of its waters. For more than 120 years, it has been producing premium sake and liqueurs made from various fruits such as peach, yuzu, plum, tangerine, apple, and even ginger.
