On the nose, it reveals sweet aromas of vanilla, mint, lemongrass, apricot, melon and peach. On the palate, a rich sweetness is accompanied by notes of clove, black tea, tangerine and cinnamon. The finish is pleasantly woody, with fruity nuances and a slight bitterness.

Kanosuke Double Distillery is a blend of single malt from the Kanosuke distillery and single grain from the Hioki distillery. The single malt is distilled in copper stills, while the single grain is produced from malted and unmalted barley, distilled in stainless steel vacuum stills. The whiskies are aged in a variety of casks, including new American oak, bourbon and shochu casks. Bottled at 53% alcohol, this whisky is not chill-filtered, preserving all its aromatic richness.

Founded in 2017 in Kagoshima, the Kanosuke distillery draws on over 140 years of shochu production expertise at Komasa Jyozo. With Kanosuke Double Distillery, the distillery demonstrates its commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation while honoring Japanese traditions. This expression reflects the collaboration between the Kanosuke and Hioki distilleries, symbolizing the union of two souls to create a unique Japanese whisky.
