A premium sake from the Shirakabegura brewery, this Junmai Daiginjo reveals an elegantly balanced and highly refined profile typical of sakes brewed with the precious yamada nishiki rice.

Both fragrant and fruity, it expresses subtle aromas of pear, melon and banana and a sweetness that suggests honey. Its almost unctuous texture accompanies the tasting until a long finish that delivers a few touches of floral notes.

Awarded at the International Wine Challenge, Shirakabegura Junmai Daiginjo sake can be enjoyed chilled to accompany raw fish such as sashimi or sushi, or heated to 40°C to be enjoyed with fish dishes in sauce.

Takara Shuzo, famous for its mirin, shochu and sake production, has been making all its premium sakes in Nada (Hyogo) at the Shirakabegura brewery for over a century, which produces entirely by hand.
