On the nose, its richness and concentration amaze, first revealing scents of iris butter, followed by lemon zest, dry walnut, nuances of curry and mirabelle plum. With aeration, floral notes of broom flower and nougat enrich this already complex aromatic palette. The palate offers remarkable amplitude and controlled power. The balance is striking, with harmonious touches of vanilla, pineapple and cedar. The midpalate is a symphony of candied pear and banana flavors, enhanced by saline, lemony and chocolate notes. The long, silky finish reveals a sensation of freshness thanks to coconut milk and acacia honey. Aromas of preserved lemon, walnut and curry bring this sensory experience to a close, testifying to the quality of the noble oak used for aging.

Founded in 2007 by Ichiro Akuto, the Chichibu distillery uses local barley and has its own malting equipment and cooperage. Offering an incomparable sensory experience, this exclusive edition of just 289 bottles has been distilled from Propino barley and aged in an Oloroso sherry cask.

This limited edition is part of a series of Chichibu single cask whiskies bottled in partnership with Japanese designer Katsumi Komagata. This collection is distinguished by its labels featuring abstract shapes in bold, bright colors, reflecting the cheerful hues of children's books. Two of the labels, with their wavy shapes, evoke a fluid dynamic. Famous for his vibrant works in paper, Katsumi Komagata has illustrated nature-inspired images called "Bird, Forest, Sky, Wave" especially for this series, in perfect resonance with the essence of Chichibu whisky.
